The quickest release in ACHL history: from catch to shot in 0.3 seconds. Scouts clocked it. Twice. Laser scored 40 goals three times and backchecked approximately never. Murdoch benched him once for floating. Fontaine scored a hat trick the next
game and winked at him on the bench. "I can't coach that," Murdoch told the Courant. "I can only point it at the net." Had a hair care routine that took 45 minutes and a sponsorship deal with a salon in West Hartford called "Shear Magic." Left for the French league in '88 chasing money and croissants. The Icebox was never the same.
