February 18, 1918. Georges Vézina stopped everything Toronto sent at him and walked off the ice with a 9-0 win. The first shutout in the history of the National Hockey League.
He played 328 consecutive games without missing one. He did it in a wool sweater and leather pads, standing up, no mask, no helmet, catching frozen rubber with his bare hand. He never once looked worried about it.
